BEP-640: Optional Transaction Gas Limit Cap
The proposal addresses super-heavy transactions that can stall blocks and trigger reorgs on BSC by recommending a voluntary gas usage cap per transaction at 16,777,216 gas (2²⁴) to maintain stability of BSC. Note that this is not a protocol-level hard fork. Read more

The proposal to reduce TurnLength from 16 to 8 to strengthen network stability and reduce reorg risk is now live. MEV builders and systems relying on in-turn validator prediction should update accordingly. Read more
