This continuous, open-entry hackathon now includes four powerful innovation tracks:

• AI (Artificial Intelligence)
• DeSoc (Decentralized Social)
• DeSci (Decentralized Science) 
• DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks)

Our goal remains the same: to accelerate the adoption of blockchain in the real world. But now, we’re expanding the playground. Whether you’re building intelligent agents, decentralized scientific tools, social, or networks of physical infrastructure, BNB Hack is your space to build where it matters most.

The hackathon is open for continuous submissions, with winners announced bi-weekly by BNB Chain. Submit your project when you're ready, build at your own pace; and compete to gain visibility, ecosystem support, and meaningful rewards.

Hackathon Overview

This hackathon offers valuable flexibility and opportunities with virtual and in-person components:

• Open Submissions: Submit your projects anytime. We announce successful applications bi-weekly if any projects qualify for tiered rewards.
  • There is no fixed deadline. We may close submissions at any time, so we encourage you to apply early for a higher chance to receive BNB Chain’s support and maximize your opportunity to win.
  • Winners will also have the chance to get a fast-track interview to participate or be featured in the upcoming demo days and MVB accelerator programs.

II. DeSoc Track: Weaving the Fabric of Web3 Society

The Decentralized Society (DeSoc) track focuses on building the social infrastructure for a more equitable, transparent, and user-centric Web3. We're looking for projects that empower individuals, foster genuine connections, and enable new forms of community organization.

Such as: 

1. Social Graph Protocols & Applications: Novel applications built on existing or new decentralized social graph protocols, emphasizing user data ownership and portability on BNB Chain.
2. Decentralized Identity (DID) & Reputation: Practical use cases for DIDs on BNB Chain, enhancing user authentication, 
3. Social Launchpads & Community Building Platforms: Tools for DAO creation and management tailored for social DAOs, focusing on inclusive governance and member engagement.
4. A messaging protocol: Innovative usage of messaging protocol to enhance the DeSoc user experience without sacrificing the nature of web3 elements.

III. DeSci Track: Accelerating Discovery & Openness

The Decentralized Science (DeSci) track aims to revolutionize how scientific research is funded, conducted, shared, and verified. We're seeking projects that promote open access, collaboration, and innovation in the scientific community.

2. IP Management & Commercialization
3. Research Key Milestone Verification & Reproducibility

VI. DePIN Track: Building Bridges to the Real World

The Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePIN) track focuses on projects that connect blockchain technology to tangible, real-world assets and services. We're looking for solutions that can democratize access, enhance efficiency, and create new economic models for physical infrastructure.

Note: Demo Session on BNB Chain Channels will be held for every four to five projects selected to showcase their work. 

Submission Requirements

• Projects that go live on the testnet or mainnet after the announcement date are eligible to join (the development start date is not restricted).
• Projects must not participate in any past hackathons or previously funded ones to ensure equal opportunity.
• Work must be deployed on or connected to opBNB/BSC mainnet or testnet in some way, open source, and free for others to use.
• Shared artifacts (GitHub, deck, and demo video).
• Ensure the contract address has at least 2 successful transactions within the hackathon timeframe.
• A tweet describing your project, tag @BNBChain & #BNBHack, and the specific challenge you are applying for.
• If you have any questions, join us on our Discord hackathon support group.

Scoring Criteria

How to Improve Your Scores:

• Verify Your Contracts: Ensure your contracts are verified on Explorer.
• Open-Source Codes: Provide full open-source code with a reasonable commit history and mark your weekly milestones. This helps communities and judges recognize your innovation and contribution.
• Roadmap: Present a detailed roadmap that outlines your plans to continue building after the hackathon.
• Documentation: Create clear documentation or tutorials explaining your project's functionality and innovation to assist users in trying it out.
• Community Engagement: Engage with communities or users by obtaining user feedback, showcasing community endorsements, etc.
• Business Model: Develop a clear business model that demonstrates sustainable revenue generation.
• Innovative Design: Highlight innovative product and technical design.

Points Leading to Score Reduction:

• Lack of Novelty Proof: Insufficient evidence to prove the project's novelty or contribution history.
• Unrealized Functions: Failure to achieve the claimed functions or innovations.
• Usability Issues: Difficulty for users or judges to use the project.
