Today, it’s Argon under the Spotlight, the first DeFi-based freelancer platform.

DeFi doesn't only enable innovation in the financial sector but also impacts different, seemingly unrelated sectors. Today's project, Argon, is working on a freelancer platform running on BSC that allows freelancers to receive fair pay for their work without sharing profits with money-hungry third-party providers and intermediaries. Argon also allows the community to participate in the platform and become approvers and earn rewards for reviewing job offers.

What is your core business? Can you expand on your business strategy to those unfamiliar with your project?

Our primary business model is similar to any standard freelancer platform, but a few big factors set us apart.

Argon is:

When was the idea behind Argon born, and what led to it?

Based on our market research conducted by our experts in 2020, we concluded that the commission rates on freelance platforms are one of the major problems faced by new freelancers. That is when we thought about ​​a decentralized freelancer platform and started the development of it.

Can you tell us more about your team's background and introduce the core members?

Our core team currently consists of 8 people, and we plan to expand our team in the near future.

What are the main advantages of Argon for the user, compared to a similar project from a mainstream financial or DeFi market?

The main advantages are the 6 points mentioned in the first answer to your questions, but we continually work on developing new features and making Argon more attractive and easier to use.

We've also partnered and integrated Transak (fiat gateway) into Argon so users can make transactions easily using their standard debit and credit cards. We established another recent partnership with Venus Protocol to offer further payment options to our users, including VAI and XVS.

Let’s say I want to use Argon. Where do I start? Where can I find some how-to guides?

Most freelancers and employers are not familiar with decentralized applications. To tackle this obstacle and make Argon as simple as a centralized application, we have built it on the blockchain, Binance Smart Chain, specifically.

Why did you decide to build on the Binance Smart Chain?

We often explain to our community why we chose Binance Smart Chain. Projects posted on Argon should have a minimal transaction fee. That is the only way we can keep zero commission fees on projects, and Binance Smart Chain allows Argon to achieve exactly that and is the main reason why Argon runs Binance Smart Chain. Argon is also one of the first projects to start using the Binance Smart Chain. When we started developing Argon, there were only 17 projects on Binance Smart Chain. Now more than 730+ projects are working on Binance Smart Chain.
