The 2026 World Cup runs June 11 to July 19. 48 teams, 104 matches, played across the United States, Canada and Mexico. Everyone has an opinion on who wins, and most of them are wrong.

So we’re putting ours on the line. For the whole tournament, the intern is posting public match predictions on BNB Chain’s X account. The community gets to disagree, vote against them, and try to out-pick them. We’re keeping score the whole way: Community vs The Intern.

How it Works

Each prediction post covers one match. The intern makes their call, and you weigh in two ways:

• Vote in the poll for the team you think will win. The majority becomes the community’s pick, and we track it against the intern’s on a running scoreboard.
• Reply with your score prediction to be in for swag. One rule: say who the score is for. “2-1” on its own doesn’t count. “2-1 to France” does.

Each week we look at the score predictions and pick a winner: whoever got the most exact scorelines right. If nobody lands an exact scoreline, we draw a random winner from the valid entries. Swag goes out every week.

Which matches we’re covering

The group stage has dozens of games, so we’re not predicting all of them. We’ll cover around three a week, starting with the opener. Here’s the group-stage slate:

• June 11: Mexico vs South Africa (Opening match)
• June 12: United States vs Paraguay
• June 16: Argentina vs Algeria
• June 18: Mexico vs Korea Republic
• June 19: United States vs Australia
• June 22: Argentina vs Austria
• June 25: Türkiye vs United States
• June 26: Uruguay vs Spain
• June 27: Colombia vs Portugal

These may shift if the schedule changes. Once the group stage wraps, we go round by round through the knockouts and announce each round’s matches as the brackets are confirmed, since we don’t yet know who will get through.

Terms & Notes

Eligibility

• Open to participants aged 18 or older, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
• Void where prohibited by law. Not open to residents of OFAC-sanctioned jurisdictions or other regions where this type of promotion is restricted.
• BNB Chain employees, contractors, and immediate family members are not eligible.
• One score entry per person per match. Multiple or edited replies to the same match count as one entry, and we take your first valid score.

Entry validity

• To be valid, a reply must give a full-time score and name the team it is for, like “2-1 to France”. A scoreline with no team, or a poll vote on its own, does not count as a swag entry.
• Entries for a match close at that match’s kick-off.
• Bot, spam, and engagement-farming accounts are excluded at BNB Chain’s discretion.

How winners are chosen

• Each week, the entrant with the most exact correct scorelines, meaning the right full-time score and the right team, across that week’s covered matches wins.
• If no one predicts an exact scoreline that week, one winner is drawn at random from that week’s valid entries.
• Ties are settled by a random draw among those tied. One swag prize per winner per week.

Winner contact

• Winners are contacted only by direct message from the verified BNB Chain account on X.
• BNB Chain will never ask for private keys, seed phrases, wallet signatures, or payment to claim a prize. Any account claiming otherwise is a scam.
• Winners have 7 days from first contact to respond and confirm shipping details. Unclaimed prizes may be redrawn or forfeited.

Prize delivery

• Swag is shipped to the address provided by the winner. Customs duties or import taxes, if any, are the winner’s responsibility.
• Shipping may not be possible to all regions. BNB Chain reserves the right to substitute a prize of equivalent value where shipping is not feasible.
• Prizes are non-transferable. There is no cash alternative.
• Swag contents may vary between winners.

• Predictions are for entertainment and community engagement only. No purchase is necessary, and this is not a betting or wagering activity.
