The moment you’ve been all waiting for is finally here! We’re thrilled to announce the 10 best projects currently building on Binance Smart Chain, the winners of the Most Valuable Builder II: The Big Bang of NFTs.

On April 23, we announced the second round of our popular MVB program, aiming to boost the development and growth of the BSC Ecosystem. The MVBII was subtitled The Big Bang of NFTs to show that we will focus primarily on NFT+DeFi development in the second round. The program is split into two phases designed to help us find the best 10 projects across different categories, and in this article, you’ll meet the final winners!

Big Bang Fact: A portfolio consisting of only MVBII Top 20 projects would be up almost x15 since the announcement of MVBII.  

Key highlights from the MVB II: The Big Bang of NFTs

• Over 500 applicants/projects around the globe in multiple categories (NFT, GameFi, DeFi, Infrastructure, Tooling, Security, and more)
• The shortlisted projects achieved a total of more than 500K active addresses with 16 billion USD transacted volume during MVBII.
• At the time of publishing, the top 20 projects account for >50% of all daily transacted volume.
• The BSC network achieved a new all-time high in weekly active users and daily transactions (twice). The BSC network currently processes 800% more transactions than Ethereum.

MVBII Phase One

Phase One of MVBII started on May 1 with the application window opening for all interested projects. We received over 400 applications worldwide, including Russia, Turkey, China, France, or the UK. During this phase, we carefully observed the performance of each project and, based on the criteria, selected the top 20 projects that entered Phase Two.

To enter Phase Two, projects were required to meet different criteria, but mainly:

• Product innovation: What is the unique proposal of the project? Is this project competitive, and does it provide new features and products?
• Security: Each project must have at least one completed team security certification or audit from independent BSC ecosystem partners.
• Community & users: This includes the number of active users in the community, chain address activity, and regular users.
• Transaction volume: Here, we looked at the transaction volume over different periods.

MVBII Phase Two

Based on the criteria above, we shortlisted the top 20 projects that met all the requirements and dominated in terms of network and user activity. In the second phase, the 20 selected projects underwent a further shortlisting process based on even stricter standards.

• The project must be among the most demanded applications in NFT+DeFi, dApps, or Infrastructure in the BSC Ecosystem.
• Security status of projects
• Daily Active Users (DAU), Total Volume Locked (TVL), and Liquidity
• Community strength (including but not limited to Twitter, Telegram, Medium, etc.)

We want to highlight that it’s already an achievement to get into the second phase, and we want to congratulate all projects that reached this stage.

After three months of hard work and neverending development, we selected the final 10 winning projects. Apart from having to meet our criteria, the projects were battle-tested by a highly volatile market, which certainly added to the complexity of this competition.
