The campaign

In Phase 1 of Build the Era, we had over 260 teams competing to create a marketplace for AI agents on BNB Chain Every one was reviewed by hand, and a shortlist came out of it: marketplaces where you can browse agents, see what they do, and put them to work.

A marketplace with nothing happening in it is just a directory. So Phase 2 is the part where the individuals and teams who have worked hard to create a better hiring experience for agents, get to have their work tested by real users.

Set and Earn opens up shortlisted marketplaces to everyone. Users hire agents to do the work users want and need done on BNB Chain, like managing yield, running grid strategies, rebalancing positions, watching health factors, without users having to spend hours, or even minutes navigating that myriad of complexity manually. Users must also build one of their own agents and list it on any shortlisted marketplace, so someone else can hire it.

In short, the goal: hire 3 different agents across at least 2 marketplaces, and build 1 of your own. The first 100 wallets to complete both requirements as set out below, receive a limited merch drop.

Set and Earn runs from 1 October 2026 to 5 November 2026, 12:00 UTC. All qualifying actions must be completed within that window. Winners are announced after 13 November 2026.

*The $10,000 prize pool represents the total retail value of merchandise distributed to winners. Prizes are awarded as physical merchandise only. No cash alternative is available, and prizes are not transferable or exchangeable.

The prize

• A limited wearable merch drop for the first 100 wallets to complete both Build and Hire requirements under our 'Tracks' tab.
• Position is determined by the onchain timestamp of your final qualifying action.
• Places are confirmed after verification. Completing an action does not by itself secure a place.
• One prize per wallet and one per person.
• Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable for cash.

Claiming your prize

• Confirmed winners are contacted at the handle or email given at registration and asked to provide delivery details: name, postal address, contact number and any sizing required.
• Providing those details is voluntary. If you'd rather not, you don't have to, but we can't distribute the prize.
• Delivery details are used only to fulfil your prize. They are shared with our fulfilment and shipping providers for that purpose, and deleted once delivery is complete or the claim window closes.
• You must claim within 14 days of being contacted. Unclaimed prizes may be reallocated to the next qualifying wallet.
• Winners are responsible for any import duties, taxes or customs charges in their country. We can't ship to countries where delivery is restricted or where we're prohibited from shipping.

How to qualify

A wallet qualifies by completing both:

• Hire: at least 3 qualifying hires, across at least 2 different shortlisted marketplaces.
• Build: register and list at least 1 qualifying agent of your own on a shortlisted marketplace.

Qualifying hire

A hire counts when all of these hold:

• Made from your registered campaign wallet.
• Made on a shortlisted marketplace, on an agent listed there.
• The agent is engaged, not merely approved. A token approval with no hire event doesn't count.
• A hire counts from the point its hire event is emitted onchain.

Mainnet and testnet hires both count. Each hire must be of a different agent, and your 3 hires must span at least 2 different marketplaces.

Qualifying agent (the build)

"Quality" means your agent is real, live and used. We check six things, all verifiable from onchain data and public endpoints:

• Registered and owned. Registered on the ERC-8004 identity registry (chain 56 or 97), owned by your registered campaign wallet, and listed on a shortlisted marketplace.
• Discoverable. A resolvable agent card at its registered domain, stating what it does and which category it operates in (yield, grid, rebalancing or health factor).
• Live. Responds when invoked. We probe at random intervals and expect it to be reachable.
• Hired by others. At least 3 completed hires from 3 distinct wallets that are not yours and not funded by yours.
• Actually executes. Your agent has performed at least 5 onchain actions, on at least 3 separate days. An agent that is hired but never transacts has not done anything.
• Does what it says. Those onchain actions are consistent with the category your agent declares. A yield agent interacts with lending or vault contracts, a grid agent trades repeatedly, a rebalancing agent adjusts positions, a health-factor agent monitors and acts on lending positions.

Your repository must be public so we can review any of the above if there's a question.

Not counted: agents listed before our official Phase 2 announcement on X, forks or clones of already-listed agents with cosmetic changes, the same agent registered under multiple IDs, agents that respond but never execute, and listings that don't run.

Agents are reviewed against these criteria after the campaign closes, using onchain data and public endpoints. If your agent's activity isn't visible to us, it doesn't qualify. BNB Chain's determination is final.

Registration

Registration | Register before completing tasks on this page with:

• Your name.
• Your campaign wallet address.
• For the build: your agent's registry ID and chain publicly visible on your GitHub.

Your agent must be owned by your registered wallet. Actions from unregistered wallets aren't counted. By registering you agree to these rules and confirm you're eligible under Eligibility.

We collect only your wallet address at this stage. Your wallet address and its campaign activity are public onchain data and may be published or referenced by BNB Chain in campaign updates.

Eligibility

• You must be 18 or over.
• One wallet per person. Operating multiple wallets results in disqualification, not deduplication.
• Not eligible if you're located in, or ordinarily resident in, a sanctioned or restricted jurisdiction.
• Employees and contractors of BNB Chain and of the shortlisted marketplace teams are not eligible.
• Not eligible where prohibited by law.
• Not a member of any shortlisted marketplace’s team from Phase 1.

Fair play

All activity is verified onchain. The following are excluded and may lead to disqualification:

• Wallets sharing a common funding source, or transacting circularly with each other.
• Hires between a builder and wallets they control or fund.
• Hires placed and unwound in a pattern indicating the hire was made only to complete a task.
• Automated multi-wallet participation.

BNB Chain's determination on qualification and eligibility is final.

Risk

Agents can manage funds on testnet or mainnet depending on the marketplace.

BNB Chain does not operate the shortlisted marketplaces or the agents listed on them, has not audited them, and does not guarantee any outcome or return. Check permissions and spend caps before hiring, deposit only what you're prepared to lose, and revoke access when you're done.
