The Most Valuable Builder (MVB) II: The Big Bang of NFTs

2021.4.23  •  4 min read
Blog post image.

The first round of the MVB Accelerator Program was launched in February 2021 to boost BSC ecosystem development by providing better support, funding, and exposure for developers and projects building on the Binance Smart Chain. Today, we announce the next round.

With the first round of the MVB program behind us, we can confirm that it was a great success! After the program’s official launch on February 5, 2021, we received over 650 applications and, through three phases, shortlisted the final three projects - AutoFarm, PancakeBunny, and Beefy.finance. The community interest in the top finalist projects exploded, and they became the top BSC projects with enormous community support and network activity.

Key highlights from the first MVB round:

  • Over 650+ applicants from around the world in multiple categories (DeFi, NFT, Gaming, Infrastructure, Options, Lending, and more)
  • A total of more than 100,000 active new addresses with 50B+TVL among all shortlisted project
  • Two finalist projects, AutoFarm and Beefy.finance, were listed on Binance.com!
  • The third finalist, Pancake Bunny, received a $1.6M seed round investment from Binance Labs!

The first round of the MVB program resulted in significant growth of the BSC Ecosystem, which now hosts more than 450 active projects, daily active address (Peak time) is > 1m and Daily Transaction volume (Peak time) is >9m (6x of ETH)

Most Valuable Builder Round II: The Big Bang of NFTs

The MVB program round II: The Big Bang of NFTs, will be focused on innovative NFT + DeFi development, high-performance infrastructures, like Data Indexing, and handling of significant user and transaction volumes on Binance Smart Chain. The second round of the MVB Program starts on May 1, 2021, and ends on July 22, 2021. As in the previous round, we welcome all NFT + DeFi developers and starting projects to apply and join the BSC ecosystem.

Who is the MVB program for?

We invite all developers building on BSC or integrating BSC within their project to participate in the MVB program. BSC Foundation is also hosting two hackathons on NFTs and DeFi, the Russian NFT hackathon and the Singapore NFT+DeFi hackathon,  and we also welcome the participating teams to apply.

How do I apply for the MVB program?

MVB is an extension of our BUIDL Reward Program. Startups can apply with a quick BSC smart contract deployment.

Complete the following steps to register for the MVB program:

1. Deploy your smart contract on Binance Smart Chain

2. Call the “registerContract” function from the deployer address (Use Metamask, Binance Chain Wallet, or other compatible wallets). Specify the contract address and the address to receive the reward.
Note: The address to receive the rewards must be an EOA address.

3. Verify the contract registration.

The reward calculation will start immediately if the registration is valid. The contract creator can update the reward address without affecting the reward calculation by calling this method again. Specify the contract address and the address to receive the reward.
Note: The address to receive the rewards must be an EOA address.

This method aims to provide an interface for contract creators to confirm that their registry information is right. Contract creators can query the checked registry information (latest reward address and registry height) via BSCscan. If you can see the contract output with the correct reward address, it means the registration has succeeded; otherwise, it has failed.
