BNB Chain Goa Meetup Recap

In mid-August, we hosted a 2-day meetup: Azaadi with Web3 in Goa, India with our Indian community. In the coming half month after the event, we have received many positive comments from the participants.

This was the first offline gathering of the BNB Chain community in Goa, where more than 150 BNB Chain friends met with our martians, the BNB Chain India team, as well as guest speakers online, making it one of the biggest BNB Chain networking events in India.

On August 15th, the first day of the event, we started with a presentation to the community about BNB Chain 2022 roadmap. To give our community members more insight, Alvin Kan, Director Of Business Operations, participated remotely in an AMA session to answer questions about the BNB Chain. Venus Protocol, the leading decentralized money market protocol on BNB Chain, also joined us virtually for a panel discussion about the future of DeFi.

The meetup isn't just about learning knowledge, but also about relaxation and having fun. An online interactive quiz on BNB Chain and a general Web3 quiz were held where  winners had a chance to bring BNB swags and customized bags home. And if you would like to have one of these with BNB Chain logo on it, remember to register for the next offline event in your city.

As a decentralized community, every community member's story is part of the BNB Chain's growth story. Quite a few community members walked onto the stage and shared their Web3 journey: the good, the bad, or the embarrassing things that have happened to them. The person who shared the most interesting story won a t-shirt as the prize.

The two days were not only full of knowledge, discussions, networking, dinners but also lots of laughter and fun. We hope that every member of the BNB chain community will have this opportunity to meet with each other offline, and let us know where you would like to see the next meetup!
